Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and development of flight software algorithms, guidance, navigation, and control systems, or simulation models.
  • Integrate and test software and hardware components in laboratory, ground-test, and flight-test environments.
  • Analyze simulation and flight-test data to inform system improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges and improve system performance.
  • Support the advancement of autonomous UAS and missile technologies.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Returning to school after the internship for at least one quarter or semester.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; clearance eligibility may be required depending on the program.
  • Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship at one of the company's offices in summer 2027.
  • Preferred qualifications include software development, control theory, or analytical modeling experience, depending on the focus area.
  • Preferred experience includes Design-Build-Fly, robotics, or collegiate rocketry teams; aerospace-related projects or hobbies; flight hardware integration; ArduPilot or PX4; serial communication protocols; electrical test equipment; and Python or MATLAB data analysis.
