Responsibilities

Support system requirements and design activities.
Develop software solutions that meet business needs.
Contribute to project reviews.
Assist with engineering investigations and problem solving.
Communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders.
Work with experienced engineers on live projects.
Combine university study with practical workplace experience across the four-year programme.

Requirements

Achieve 104 UCAS points, such as A Level BCC, or an equivalent qualification such as a BTEC Extended Diploma, T Level, or apprenticeship.
Have five GCSEs at grades 9–4/A–C, including Maths and English.
Applicants who already hold a relevant degree, including Software Engineering or Computer Science, are not eligible.
Have the permanent right to work in the UK and successfully complete and maintain BPSS screening and SC security clearance.
Typically have lived continuously in the UK for the last five years to qualify for SC clearance.
Be a British citizen from birth and hold no other nationality because the role supports a UK Eyes Only programme.

£24,000 per annum salary with performance-related pay uplifts.
Four-year permanent degree apprenticeship with university tuition fees fully paid.
Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship through Manchester Metropolitan University.
Monday–Friday, 37-hour working schedule, with one university study day and four workplace days per week.
Hybrid and flexible working options.
201 hours of annual holiday plus a company day and bank holidays.
