Responsibilities

  • Investigate and develop algorithms for 3D measurement.
  • Modularize numerical-computation and measurement software.
  • Conduct simulation studies and evaluate performance using actual devices.
  • Optimize algorithm parameters and make minor algorithm modifications.
  • Develop new 3D functions and investigate improvements to the overall measurement system.
  • Evaluate product and 2D/3D measurement performance.

Requirements

  • University-level education or higher is required.
  • Native-level Japanese and English proficiency of at least TOEIC 500 are required.
  • Knowledge of image processing is required.
  • Software development experience involving numerical-computation programs using at least two of C, C++, C#, and Python is required.
  • Algorithm investigation and implementation experience is preferred.
  • Computer-vision software development experience using tools such as OpenCV is preferred.
  • At least two years of relevant software development experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of optical theory, including reflection, refraction, and interference, is preferred.
  • Experience investigating algorithms for 3D reconstruction such as SLAM or 3D point-cloud processing is preferred.
  • Experience evaluating 2D/3D measurement performance is preferred.
  • English communication ability of at least TOEIC 650 is preferred.
