Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy RAG-based applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Search.
  • Build AI agents with Azure AI Foundry Agent Service, including tool or function calling and basic multi-step workflows.
  • Implement document ingestion pipelines covering parsing, chunking, embedding generation, and vector indexing.
  • Write and refine prompts using prompt engineering techniques to improve answer quality and reduce hallucinations.
  • Build, train, and evaluate classical machine learning and deep learning models for classification, forecasting, NLP, and related use cases.
  • Expose AI capabilities through FastAPI or Flask REST APIs and integrate them with front-end and enterprise systems.
  • Evaluate RAG and agent outputs for groundedness, relevance, and accuracy using Azure AI Foundry evaluation tools.
  • Write clean, tested, and documented code; participate in code reviews and collaborate with product owners, data engineers, and QA teams.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of total experience in software, data, or AI engineering, including 1.5–2 years of generative AI experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry model catalog, deployments, prompt flow, and evaluations.
  • Practical end-to-end experience building RAG solutions, including embeddings, chunking, vector search, retrieval, and basic re-ranking.
  • Experience building AI agents with Azure AI Foundry Agent Service or frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or AutoGen.
  • Strong Python programming skills and understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
  • Working knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, feature engineering, scikit-learn, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Blob Storage, Azure Functions, and Key Vault.
  • Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD basics.
  • Preferred Azure certifications include AI-102, DP-100, or AZ-204.
  • Preferred exposure to Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, responsible AI, and content safety.
  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field through B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders.
