AI Engineer, Compute Infrastructure in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the deployment generator.
  • Create and maintain platform documentation.
  • Build the bundle pipeline.
  • Implement profile-driven rendering for public cloud, enterprise on-premise, and classified air-gapped targets.
  • Build and maintain the cross-profile CI matrix.
  • Implement the testing and validation framework.
  • Integrate existing operators, Helm charts, and CRDs as generator inputs without modifying production infrastructure.
  • Own the monitoring-stack migration.
  • Own the bare-metal provisioning pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering, physics, data science, or an engineering discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Go and/or Python.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Kubernetes or similar tooling for automating, developing, and scaling containerized applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation such as Buildkite or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience or familiarity with container image management, Infrastructure-as-Code, Pulumi or Terraform, and Linux systems.
  • Experience building air-gapped or disconnected deployment tooling with pre-staged dependencies.
  • Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, NCCL, InfiniBand or RoCE networking.
  • Experience with PXE boot, cloud-init, squashfs, or other bare-metal provisioning technologies.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% to government sites.
  • Must satisfy the stated ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $135,000–$230,000 per year, with potential stock, stock options, long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and employee stock purchase opportunities.
  • Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage; a 401(k); disability and life insurance; paid parental leave; discounts and other perks.
  • Employees may accrue three weeks of paid vacation, receive 10 or more paid holidays, and accrue paid sick leave under company policy.
  • The position requires Top Secret clearance and may require approximately 20% travel, extended hours, and weekends.
