Responsibilities

Design and build security-critical AI agents that automate Starshield network and systems defense.
Use AI to discover and fix security issues in Starshield infrastructure and systems.
Guide and test AI integrations in new and existing Starshield systems.
Identify opportunities to improve security through automation and AI.
Maintain production systems and improve security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other engineering teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
Experience with one or more software development languages, including Python, C++, or Golang.
Preferred experience designing and building production software across backend services, data models and migrations, and modern web frontends.
Preferred experience taking software from prototype to production with Kubernetes deployments, CI pipelines, monitoring, and secure service connections.
Preferred experience designing, prompting, and securing agents capable of long-running autonomous tasks.
Preferred experience applying AI or machine learning to classification and decision problems involving malicious activity or malicious agent inputs.
Preferred experience designing AI systems that learn and improve over time.
Preferred knowledge of identity, cryptography, network security, operating system security, detection, and monitoring.
Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Salary: $130k - $195k/yr
