Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, scalable, accessible Android applications.
  • Own the Android development lifecycle from planning and implementation through testing, release, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Android, iOS, web, and backend engineers within cross-functional domain teams.
  • Contribute to the Angular and TypeScript-based webshop and broader frontend technology stack when needed.
  • Design domain-level technical solutions that provide consistent customer experiences across platforms.
  • Manage Android releases and monitor application performance through Firebase.
  • Stay current with Android ecosystem developments and introduce relevant technologies, patterns, and ideas.
  • Share Android expertise through code reviews, technical guidance, pair programming, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kotlin, the Android SDK, and widely used Jetpack libraries.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices.
  • Expertise with design patterns and architectural approaches such as Clean Architecture and MVVM.
  • Proficiency in writing testable code and creating unit, integration, and UI tests.
  • Experience with web service integrations, JSON, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with modern development and CI/CD pipelines and tools, including GitHub Actions.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of UX principles and attention to UI placement, layouts, and interaction patterns.
  • Comfort contributing to web development with TypeScript and Angular; prior professional experience is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills; German proficiency or willingness to learn is a plus.
