Android Engineer, Plugin Developer Platform in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build Android experiences for plugins, connectors, and interactive apps within ChatGPT.
  • Develop reusable Android components and interfaces for developer-built experiences.
  • Connect native mobile experiences with APIs, SDKs, and backend systems in partnership with platform engineers.
  • Work with developers and partners to identify integration challenges and improve mobile development workflows.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, architecture, testing, and developer tooling.
  • Own projects from initial requirements through release, measurement, and iteration.

Requirements

  • Deep experience building Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development frameworks.
  • Experience shipping consumer-facing mobile products at scale with strong attention to performance, quality, and user experience.
  • Ability to design reusable interfaces and abstractions for other developers.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and design and work directly with developers and partners.
  • Interest in AI-powered tools and extensible mobile experiences.
  • Ability to help define product and technical direction in a fast-moving environment.

Benefits

Salary: $185k - $385k/yr
