Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, debug, and troubleshoot secure Android software solutions.
Lead technical delivery and coach junior software engineers.
Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis while enforcing validation and security standards.
Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system stability.
Analyze large and diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reporting to drive application and architecture improvements.
Consider upstream and downstream system impacts when designing and implementing software.

Requirements

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
Strong Android development experience with Kotlin, Java, Android Jetpack, Kotlin Coroutines, RESTful API integration, RxJava, LiveData, and/or StateFlow.
Experience with unit testing and UI test automation using Mockito, JUnit, and Gherkin scripts.
Experience with dependency injection tools such as Dagger and Hilt.
Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
Understanding of responsible AI engineering practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Preferred experience with Android ecosystem development, mobile UI fundamentals, SOLID principles, and MVP, MVI, and MVVM architectural patterns.
