Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain full-stack features using Java, PHP, Jmix, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Design and integrate REST APIs and third-party services, including authentication and authorization.
  • Contribute to application architecture, design patterns, technical standards, code reviews, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.
  • Lead and mentor QA engineers while remaining hands-on with application and test engineering.
  • Architect and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, performance, load, and stress testing.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, test environments, mocks, and stubs.
  • Track quality metrics, lead defect triage, report risks and status, and improve testing processes.
  • Use and evaluate AI tools for code, test case, test data, failure, and log workflows while defining responsible-use guidelines.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7–10 years of professional software engineering experience including full-stack development.
  • Strong Java experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks and hands-on Jmix or CUBA Platform experience.
  • Working PHP experience with Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks, plus strong JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end framework skills.
  • Experience designing REST APIs, using OAuth2 and JWT, and applying design patterns, clean code, SOLID principles, and application architecture practices.
  • Experience with Git workflows, pull-request reviews, Maven or Gradle, and npm.
  • SDET or test automation experience, previous QA team leadership, and experience creating test plans and strategies for complex projects.
  • Experience building automation frameworks with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, or JUnit.
  • Hands-on performance testing with tools such as JMeter, k6, or Gatling, including load modeling and bottleneck analysis.
  • Strong API testing experience with REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools, and CI/CD test integration using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Jira and test management tools such as TestRail or Xray.
  • Practical experience with Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI assistants; prompt engineering and ability to validate AI-generated output.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
  • Preferred experience includes AI-assisted tooling, LLM API agents or scripts, MCP integrations, microservices, event-driven design, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, application performance monitoring, and ISTQB or AI certifications.
