Responsibilities

Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
Create applications that improve SpaceX operations.
Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
Own software engineering and product development across the full lifecycle.
Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
At least 1 year of full-stack development experience.
Preferred experience with Python, C#/.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
Preferred experience building single-page web applications and using Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
Preferred experience with software-system design, performance profiling, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, monitoring, and package management.
Preferred experience with UNIX-like systems, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
Applicants must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Benefits

Onsite role; remote and hybrid work will not be considered.
May require extended hours or weekends depending on launch cadence.
Base salary range is $125,000-$195,000 annually depending on level and qualifications.
Potential long-term incentives, stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and employee stock purchase plan participation.

Approximately 3 weeks of paid vacation, 10 or more paid holidays, and paid sick leave.
