Responsibilities

Define performance testing strategy, approaches, and success criteria for throughput, latency, error rates, capacity, and scalability.
Design, build, maintain, and automate load, stress, endurance, and spike test suites.
Create production-like workload models, API-level scenarios, and performance test data designs.
Analyze response times, resource utilization, thread and connection behavior, and queueing to identify bottlenecks.
Collaborate with SRE/DevOps teams on performance environments, monitoring, dashboards, and alerts.
Validate cloud-native components and support tuning activities across APIs, compute, containers, load balancers, and databases.
Produce performance reports, communicate risks and remediation plans, and promote performance engineering practices.
Provide performance sign-off evidence for releases and contribute to incident triage when performance degradation is suspected.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree of Engineering is required.
Strong hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering for APIs and distributed systems.
Experience with JMeter, Gatling, or equivalent performance testing tools, including scripting, parameterization, correlation, and result analysis.
Experience implementing performance testing in CI/CD and using version control and collaboration tools.
Good understanding of AWS and cloud-native architectures, networking performance, load balancing, auto-scaling, and container platforms.
Strong monitoring, observability, and performance diagnostics skills using metrics, logs, and traces.
Working knowledge of Linux and Python and/or Shell scripting for test automation, environment checks, and reporting.
Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, resilience patterns, and high availability concepts.
Good-to-have banking domain knowledge and familiarity with Open Banking and API ecosystems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
