Associate Software Engineer - International in Canada new

Responsibilities

  • Own large-scope projects from discovery through launch with an emphasis on outcomes and customer impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve customer challenges and develop product features.
  • Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems.
  • Enhance testing, monitoring, and continuous deployment infrastructure.
  • Add capabilities to high-volume, fault-tolerant processing infrastructure.
  • Promote engineering excellence through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
  • Keep sensitive data compartmentalized and secure.

Requirements

  • At least one year of professional development experience.
  • Proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Ruby; Go experience is a plus.
  • Solid SQL skills and understanding of database fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including basic deployment and monitoring.
  • Interest in helping junior developers and contributing to team knowledge sharing.
  • Experience collaborating with designers and product managers on feature development.
