Azure IAC (Terraform) Engineer in Australia

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support scalable Azure cloud environments using Terraform.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning practices.
  • Support enterprise-scale Azure solutions across networking, storage, security, identity, and compute.
  • Implement and maintain secure and compliant cloud infrastructure.
  • Respond to incidents and contribute to security-focused operational support.
  • Support customers through Avanade’s high-touch Managed Services partnership model.
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Support audits, assurance activities, and compliance reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or managed services.
  • Hands-on expertise with Terraform and infrastructure orchestration.
  • Experience delivering Managed Services on Azure.
  • Knowledge of Azure services across compute, networking, identity, and security.
  • Experience working within governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Australian citizenship is required; security clearance is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is preferred.
  • Azure certifications AZ-104 and AZ-305 are desirable.
