Responsibilities

Lead development of product features, experiments, technical initiatives, and complex backend systems.
Shape architecture decisions and drive software design and engineering practices.
Influence and coach distributed teams of engineers.
Write high-quality, maintainable code and support others in doing the same.
Improve system architecture, code quality, products, and development processes.
Collaborate with backend, client-side, and infrastructure teams.
Drive technical decisions and strengthen agile and scrum ways of working.

Requirements

10+ years of experience building performance-critical production applications using a JVM technology stack such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
Proven experience leading projects, technical initiatives, and/or engineering teams with full ownership of the systems involved.
Hands-on experience with data platforms such as SQL, Cassandra, or Hadoop.
Strong understanding of selecting appropriate data solutions for different application needs.
Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
Demonstrated excellence in software development and coding.
Experience improving team productivity and effectiveness through KPI-driven engineering practices.
Strong software architecture skills and experience driving architectural decisions within a team.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Passion for software craftsmanship, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
