Responsibilities

Build backend services and data models for tracking operational work, ownership, and outcomes.
Develop asynchronous workflows with reliable retries, timeouts, external-event handling, and recovery from interrupted execution.
Create shared APIs and tool-execution interfaces with authorization and customer-data isolation.
Improve the storage, versioning, and serving of operational knowledge.
Strengthen testing and observability while evolving the platform with the engineering team.
Investigate production issues, design clear interfaces, and deliver maintainable solutions.

Requirements

At least 3 years of backend engineering experience building and maintaining production services.
Practical experience with Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, with willingness to work across both.
Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, including data modeling and transactions.
Experience with background jobs, queues, or event-driven processing, including failure handling and data consistency.
Experience building reliable asynchronous workflows and resolving production problems.
Experience with workflow engines, multi-tenant applications, authorization, FastAPI, or agent tooling is helpful.
Prior LLM experience is not required.

Benefits

Salary of €80,000 annually.
On-site work in Berlin, Germany.
