Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality software solutions across multiple technical areas.
  • Build batch and real-time software components in Python using distributed compute engines such as Apache Spark and Apache Flink.
  • Design and deploy applications on AWS using services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, and S3.
  • Lead projects from concept through production for the Personalization & Insights platform and provide Level 2 production support.
  • Review and debug code, improve application reliability and operational stability, and automate recurring remediation work.
  • Lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools, including validation for correctness, performance, security, and data sensitivity.
  • Develop ETL and feature-processing pipelines and use distributed, streaming, and cloud technologies for large-scale data processing.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including hands-on Python development experience.
  • Experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or similar large-scale data processing engines.
  • Experience with distributed datastores such as Cassandra or Redshift.
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and deploying software on AWS using EC2, EKS, Lambda, and S3.
  • Experience with Big Data, distributed systems, AWS Big Data services, performance tuning, streaming, Kafka, and entitlements.
  • Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
  • Preferred experience with ETL or feature-processing pipelines, Airflow, Kubeflow, Terraform, Linux scripting, Bash, KSH, or Python.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Developer, or AWS Solutions Architect certification is strongly preferred.
