Calypso Quality Engineer in Australia new

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for Calypso changes and releases.
  • Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle flows including capture, clearing, settlement, and reporting.
  • Design and execute test cases, scenarios, and regression packs based on business requirements.
  • Perform SQL-based data validation and reconciliation across trade and downstream systems.
  • Support SIT, UAT, release validation, defect triage, and defect closure.
  • Collaborate with development and business analysis teams to investigate and resolve defects.
  • Support production releases and post-deployment validation.
  • Contribute to test automation initiatives and CI/CD integration.
  • Document test results, defect logs, and test evidence for governance.

Requirements

  • 5–6 years of experience in functional testing of the Calypso platform.
  • Understanding of capital markets, including FX, fixed income, derivatives, and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with automation tools including CATT, Selenium, Playwright, and API testing.
  • Experience with SQL and data validation.
  • Exposure to test management tools such as JIRA and Xray or similar.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Calypso workflows, APIs, and interfaces such as MarkitWire and downstream systems is preferred.
  • Experience with FIX messages is preferred.
  • Understanding of performance/NFT testing and capacity validation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes is preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams is preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia permanently without restrictions.
