Responsibilities

  • Define the technical roadmap, target-state architecture, engineering standards, and guardrails for the Engineering Data Platform.
  • Lead delivery of scalable, resilient, secure, and cloud-native data platform capabilities.
  • Create trusted, governed, reusable engineering data products, metrics, dashboards, and engineering intelligence.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, privacy, compliance, security, and risk controls.
  • Champion DevSecOps, DataOps, automation, observability, reliability, and engineering excellence.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and translate business, risk, and technology needs into measurable outcomes.
  • Enable AI, machine learning data, automation, and data-driven engineering use cases.
  • Mentor engineers and uplift engineering capability, practices, and inclusive engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in senior engineering leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native data platforms or engineering platforms.
  • Experience with data platform architecture, including lakehouse, data mesh, and domain-aligned data products.
  • Experience with data engineering and DataOps, including ingestion, testing, observability, and delivery automation.
  • Experience with AWS, containers, serverless platforms, and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of data quality, lineage, privacy, compliance, secure software lifecycles, and risk-based decision-making.
  • Experience delivering engineering intelligence through metrics, dashboards, and reusable data patterns.
  • Experience enabling data for machine learning, automation, and AI use cases.
  • Experience with APIs, integration, developer experience, monitoring, SLAs, and incident management.
  • Proven delivery in regulated environments, strong architectural judgment, senior stakeholder influence, and the ability to make decisions in ambiguity.
  • Ability to set technical direction, lead complex architectural decisions, coach engineers, and deliver outcomes across reliability, productivity, and risk.
