Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture, standards, and technical direction for the classified software and platform team.
  • Design and build production web applications in React and Go for fully air-gapped classified environments.
  • Develop S3 storage integrations and policies, access-control interfaces, and authorization, audit, and application-state datastores.
  • Own containerization and Kubernetes deployment through GitOps and DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines, including scanning, signing, and accreditation evidence.
  • Break down multi-quarter programs, conduct design and code reviews, pair with engineers, and grow the team.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Program Management, and business stakeholders to deliver technical plans.

Requirements

  • Professional experience shipping production web applications with React or a comparable modern frontend framework and TypeScript.
  • Professional experience developing backend services in Go.
  • Experience designing and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB, including schemas, migrations, and query performance.
  • Experience with Podman or Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu.
  • Experience leading technical work through architecture ownership, design and code reviews, team direction, and technical documentation.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret Clearance with customer approval.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a DoD 8140/8570 qualifying certification.
  • Preferred experience includes virtual desktop infrastructure, application brokering, Kubernetes virtualization, authorization systems, policy-as-code, S3-compatible storage, POSIX or FUSE, air-gapped software, DevSecOps supply-chain security, observability, security concepts, NIST SP 800-53, and founding or tech-lead experience.

Salary: $166k - $220k/yr
