Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded Linux base software for automotive platforms using Qualcomm, NXP, TI, and Renesas hardware.
Architect system platforms and develop bootloaders, kernels, device drivers, BSPs, and kernel configurations.
Manage Yocto-based Linux distributions and custom build environments.
Integrate software with hardware, middleware, and application teams across infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle control systems.
Drive compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO 21434 cybersecurity standards.
Optimize system performance, boot time, and resource utilization.
Support secure boot, OTA update mechanisms, diagnostics, testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers, silicon vendors, and OEMs to align platform requirements.
Own the base software roadmap and contribute to platform strategy.
Mentor and guide embedded Linux engineers across multiple vehicle programs.

Requirements

Minimum 7.5 years of professional experience is required.
12+ years of overall experience in the infotainment domain with Android development experience.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field, with 15 years of full-time education.
Strong embedded Linux development experience, including Yocto or Buildroot.
Expertise in kernel development, device drivers, and low-level debugging.
Experience with automotive hardware platforms including ARM, x86, and RISC-V.
Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet automotive communication protocols.
Knowledge of secure boot, OTA updates, system diagnostics, and hypervisor-based architectures.
Proficiency in Embedded C and C++.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Knowledge of infotainment systems and cloud platforms.
