Responsibilities

Analyze, design, code, test, maintain, enhance, and develop application components across client projects.
Develop and configure Android platform software for automotive infotainment and digital cockpit systems.
Customize AOSP/AAOS, Android Framework components, device configurations, custom HALs, OS extensions, and middleware.
Work across the full software development lifecycle to build information and entertainment applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Write unit test cases for developed modules and support CTS, VTS, and CDD compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
Keep current with Android platform technologies presented at Google conferences and bootcamps.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience is stated, with additional information requesting a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Android platform domain.
15 years of full-time education is required; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field is stated as preferred or required in the additional information.
In-depth knowledge of AOSP/AAOS and Android Framework customization.
Advanced experience with C++, device configurations, custom Android HALs, Android components, version control, and unit testing.
Knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Linux, AIDL/HIDL, NDK, Android version migrations, multithreaded programming, middleware, OS concepts, IPC, service binding, and design patterns.
Experience with Git, Gerrit, GitHub, MVVM, Google compliance testing, and AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Experience with Android media and phone applications, navigation, home-screen customization, cloud communication, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, CAN integration, and Jetpack is beneficial.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
