Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, customize, and enhance Roku streaming applications using BrightScript and Scene Graph.
  • Design and develop user interface components using the Scene Graph framework.
  • Integrate third-party Player, Analytics, and Advertising SDKs, Roku APIs, RESTful services, and JSON.
  • Optimize application performance on Roku devices and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Support Roku application release, deployment, channel certification, and publishing activities.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams, contribute to technical decisions, provide technical guidance, and monitor project delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience is stated, with the posting also requiring 4–7 years of video streaming application development experience and a minimum of 7.5 years of relevant Roku development experience.
  • Experience developing Roku applications with BrightScript, Scene Graph, Roku debugging tools, and Roku APIs.
  • Experience with video encoding and streaming formats including HLS and DASH, as well as DRM.
  • Experience integrating Player, Analytics, and Advertising SDKs and consuming RESTful services and JSON.
  • Experience with In-App Purchase and billing testing, Roku channel certification, publishing criteria, release procedures, and deployment.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, web technologies, performance optimization, and strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Completion of 15 years of full-time education is required.
