Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage security tools, systems, and processes protecting infrastructure, applications, and data.
Partner with engineering and security teams to embed security best practices.
Automate security tooling, including SIEM log ingestion and routing.
Manage firewalls and networks across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
Conduct infrastructure security assessments using tools such as CIS benchmarks.
Provide on-call availability for high-priority incidents when required.

Requirements

Knowledge of cybersecurity and platform-engineering concepts, including networking, cloud security, CI/CD pipelines, virtualization, and infrastructure as code.
Software development experience using Linux or WSL.
Experience with SIEM and log-routing tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, Cribl, and ELK.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP services.
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with IDS/IPS solutions, vulnerability management, endpoint security, or SOC teams.
Familiarity with AI hardening techniques and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Bicep.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.
Ability to satisfy BPSS and client security-clearance requirements, typically including five years of continuous UK address history and British passport-holder status without dual nationality at application.

Additional compensation may be provided for on-call high-priority incident support, with frequency client-dependent.
Locations are London, Manchester, and Birmingham; flexibility and mobility are required.
