Responsibilities

Formulate and execute the organization’s cybersecurity strategy.
Design and implement security architecture and promote secure-by-design practices.
Conduct vulnerability management, security risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments.
Respond to and investigate security incidents.
Plan and implement security education and awareness programs.
Research emerging technologies and cybersecurity threat trends.
Lead regulatory compliance and audit support for financial-industry and critical-infrastructure requirements, including FISC, PCI DSS, and ISMS.
Coordinate with internal departments, executives, Rakuten Group cybersecurity teams, overseas vendors, and global teams.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional experience in information security or cybersecurity.
Experience conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
Experience responding to security incidents.
Experience planning and implementing security education and training programs.
Understanding of secure-by-design concepts and the ability to apply them.
Basic knowledge of system development and operations, including networks, servers, and cloud environments.
Ability to coordinate and negotiate with departments and stakeholders.
Business-level Japanese communication skills for regulations, documentation, meetings, and presentations.
Experience in financial-industry security or critical-infrastructure projects is preferred.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
Knowledge or experience with cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, is preferred.
English communication skills, DevSecOps knowledge, SIEM operation or security log analysis experience, and zero-trust security experience are preferred.
