Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data pipelines and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Lead MongoDB schema design, data modeling, aggregation, sharding, replication, Atlas usage, query optimization, and indexing.
Develop and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs for internal and external data exchange.
Deploy and manage data workloads on IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP using managed compute and storage services.
Analyze system bottlenecks and implement performance improvements across the data stack.
Conduct code reviews and implement automated testing with JUnit and Mockito.
Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, onshore stakeholders, IT teams, and business teams to resolve technical and business issues.
Communicate delivery status, meet timelines, adapt to new technologies, and contribute effectively within an extended French-Indian agile team.

Requirements

6–8 years of experience in data engineering, including MongoDB, API integration, and cloud infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree in IT, computer-related fields, or equivalent experience.
Expert proficiency in Java and experience with Spring Boot.
Advanced MongoDB knowledge, including the Aggregation Framework, sharding, replication, and Atlas.
Strong knowledge of REST API design, OAuth2, and API Gateway management.
Proven experience with cloud environments and proficiency with Git, Maven or Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, and complex SQL queries.
Strong analytical, verbal, written communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Knowledge of payments, card payments, banking products, or banking products is preferred.
