Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the Terraform provider for GPU clusters, node pools, networks, and storage using correct CRUD, asynchronous operation, state, drift, import, and acceptance-testing patterns.
  • Build and maintain a customer CLI for authentication, cluster provisioning, scripting, output formatting, error handling, and secure credential and session management.
  • Develop generated and hand-written SDK client layers with support for pagination, retries, authentication, error typing, versioning, and changelogs.
  • Partner with the control-plane team to review and improve evolving API resource shapes, field semantics, asynchronous operations, and error contracts.
  • Own semantic versioning, deprecation policy, compatibility matrices, release pipelines, and publishing to Terraform and language package registries.
  • Create documentation, quickstarts, Terraform modules, CLI and SDK examples, smoke tests, and usage telemetry to support adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining a Terraform provider or comparable infrastructure-as-code plugin such as Pulumi or Crossplane against a real cloud or Kubernetes control plane.
  • Strong Go proficiency and direct experience with the Terraform Plugin Framework or SDK, including resource schemas, state management, drift detection, and acceptance testing.
  • Experience generating or hand-maintaining client SDKs from OpenAPI, protobuf, or similar API definitions.
  • Experience building CLIs or SDKs for scripting and automation, handling authentication and credentials securely, and managing versioning and deprecation.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure primitives including clusters, node pools, networking, and storage.
  • Experience negotiating API contracts with an upstream backend team is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GPU cloud or machine-learning infrastructure concepts is a plus.
