DevOps Engineer (Cleared) in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain architecture for a system containing AI models, backend APIs, and a frontend web application.
  • Deploy software with partners into classified customer environments, including on-site work as needed.
  • Write and improve Dockerfiles to build efficient, hardened images with minimal CVEs.
  • Create and improve Helm charts for deployments across cloud-backed and on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
  • Improve GitHub Actions CI/CD processes for robust application and dependency updates.
  • Support technical decisions and system accreditations for standards including FedRAMP.
  • Contribute to company strategy, team culture, and evolving responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Hold a US DoD security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
  • Have 4+ years of individual-contributor DevOps engineering experience in a high-stakes customer or company environment.
  • Have experience leading and collaborating with other engineers.
  • Have on-site experience working with senior customer stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and deploy software.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive ownership mindset.
  • Have strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD.
  • Have strong system-design and strategy experience, including multi-cloud software deployment.
  • Know cybersecurity principles and best practices, especially FedRAMP and NIST 800-53.
  • Experience with LLMs is a plus.
