Embedded Software Engineer Intern in USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded software, firmware, and drivers for autonomous aircraft and ground delivery systems.
  • Design and validate RF test setups, manufacturing software test suites, hardware-in-the-loop integrations, and simulation-based testing.
  • Develop real-time telemetry and coprocessor systems involving high-frequency signals, I/O expansion, ADCs, communication devices, and interrupts.
  • Prototype and integrate perception systems, compute modules, and sensors for flight testing.
  • Improve flight and ground-system behavior through bench testing, real flight tests, reliability analysis, and global deployment.
  • Define system requirements, develop solutions, and validate safety, performance, and reliability in real-world edge cases.

Requirements

  • Have completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies; master’s and PhD students are also eligible.
  • Be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Have designed, built, or deployed electromechanical systems or robots.
  • Be comfortable programming in C, C++, Python, or Rust.
  • Have developed software for a real-time operating system or embedded Linux.
  • Understand basic electrical engineering concepts, including schematics, oscilloscope debugging, and communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, and UART.
  • Be willing to receive feedback and write efficient, readable, well-tested code with friendly APIs and minimal technical debt.
