Responsibilities

  • Own the full product lifecycle from business requirements and technology selection through coding standards, development, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable platforms and data pipelines.
  • Build stable, fault-tolerant, high-performance systems serving millions of users.
  • Direct significant company-wide projects and establish technical vision and architectural direction.
  • Mentor engineers and help maintain high coding and engineering standards.
  • Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and technology goals.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience developing performance-critical applications in production using Scala, Java, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or equivalent.
  • Ability to direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision.
  • Deep involvement in architectural decisions and setting team standards and direction.
  • Strong English-language communication skills.
  • Passion for software development and continuous improvement.
  • Preferred: knowledge of NoSQL, queueing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or MSMQ, and Play Framework.
