Responsibilities

Build firmware and software platforms for manufacturing test and host/client verification of product form, fit, and function.
Develop low-level firmware for microcontrollers interfacing with robots and control algorithms for off-the-shelf data acquisition tools.
Create device-side validation capabilities using SSH, gRPC, and existing or new debugging tools.
Debug issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries and automate test and failure-analysis procedures for production staff.
Participate in DFT and DFM reviews with electrical engineering and product firmware teams.

Requirements

BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
Strong C programming ability for embedded systems.
Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.
Experience developing firmware in bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux environments.
Understanding of coding best practices, board bring-up, and debugging.
Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and similar bus protocols.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include new-design bring-up and debugging, low- and high-speed interface experience, data acquisition and analysis fundamentals, microcontroller experience, embedded Linux deployment, and debugging with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
