Responsibilities

Develop low-level firmware and software for microcontrollers, including reusable device drivers and system-level features.
Own complex firmware features for embedded systems and architect changes across a growing codebase.
Debug and troubleshoot issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries.
Select microcontrollers and peripherals and review schematics with electrical engineering teams.
Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality while managing multiple projects.

Requirements

Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer/software engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
Able to start full time in 2026, preferably October 4, 2026.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Python.
Ability to understand complex systems, solve technical problems with limited oversight, and communicate clearly.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include embedded firmware development, strong embedded C skills, sensor and microcontroller integration, bare-metal or RTOS development, hardware debugging, board bring-up, bus protocols, multiple microcontroller cores, and satellite mission autonomy.
