Responsibilities

Apply computer vision, multimodal AI, and LLM techniques to construction documents.
Prototype, iterate, build, and deploy AI systems that handle noisy and heterogeneous inputs.
Own modeling, data pipelines, and inference systems for automated material takeoffs and cost estimation.
Perform data labeling, ETL, and deployment tasks as part of a small founding team.
Collaborate with product teams and users to identify and solve high-impact problems.
Communicate progress and technical tradeoffs clearly and empathetically.

Requirements

Hands-on production experience applying computer vision, multimodal AI, and LLM techniques to messy real-world documents or similar unstructured data.
Experience launching AI systems into production or building core parts of a new product.
Experience iterating quickly on prototypes using real user feedback and production data.
Experience building or shipping something used by real users or customers.
Willingness to handle pragmatic founding-team engineering work, including data labeling, ETL, and deployment.
US work authorization is required.
Construction domain knowledge is a plus.
Candidates at any experience level, including new graduates with relevant production experience, are welcome.

Benefits

Base salary plus equity.
Full-time, in-office role on-site in San Francisco, California.
Candidates must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.

Salary: $120k - $180k/yr
