Responsibilities

Own cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and compute, including infrastructure-as-code environments.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, preview environments, feature flags, gated tests, and rollback capabilities.
Design and operate logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting systems.
Establish on-call rotations, runbooks, incident response practices, and postmortems.
Implement security controls including secrets management, least-privilege access, dependency scanning, audit logs, and privacy-supporting infrastructure.
Monitor infrastructure costs and capacity, plan for growth, and reduce waste.
Set platform standards and help hire engineers as the team grows.

Requirements

At least 4 years of DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including production on-call responsibilities.
Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Pulumi, containers, and orchestration.
Track record of building CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling for frequent, reliable releases.
Experience with observability, incident response, postmortems, cloud infrastructure ownership, IAM, and vulnerability scanning.
Ability to write TypeScript or Python and work with application code in production systems.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and the judgment to verify and own shipped code.
Experience with cost monitoring, capacity planning, and helping teams adopt infrastructure practices.
Hands-on, founding-team mindset.

Benefits

Full-time, on-site work in San Francisco, California.
Base salary of $200,000 to $300,000 annually.
