Responsibilities

Design and implement architecture integrating AI agents with CAD, CAE, PLM tools, and historical engineering data.
Own end-to-end software delivery, including design decisions, production readiness, observability, testing, and on-call operations.
Deploy production AI workflows into live customer programs.
Build evaluation and training loops using simulations, data, and real-world feedback, including physics-informed reinforcement learning.
Collaborate with customer-site engineers to identify failure points and translate findings into platform capabilities.
Influence the product roadmap and build reliable, scalable features for engineering programs.
Scale the platform across multiple operating companies and mentor a small team.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience shipping production software used by real customers.
Proven experience shipping AI in production and building evaluation suites for LLM-based workflows.
Strong Python and backend or ML systems engineering skills.
Ability to select among retrieval, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and traditional software approaches.
Experience in frontier or applied AI, physical-world AI, industrial software, simulation, CAD, CAE, EDA, or related domains.
Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to build trust with engineers and customers.
Willingness to travel to customer sites and operating companies as needed.
Comfort working hands-on in a high-standards founding environment with a bias toward execution.

Benefits

Annual salary range of 150,000 to 220,000 USD.
Onsite role based in New York City.
Travel to customer sites and operating companies as needed.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
