Founding Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship AI-assisted PCB design tools and EDA automation features.
  • Integrate manufacturing pipelines and support workflows from hardware design through production.
  • Develop backend systems and user-facing platform tools.
  • Collaborate with the founding team on product direction and technical strategy.
  • Ship iteratively, incorporate user feedback, and address evolving engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience shipping software products, including at least one physical or hardware product delivered to end users.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design, KiCad, schematic review, or electronics hardware.
  • Proficiency in at least one systems language: C, C++, Rust, or Go.
  • Experience building and shipping embedded systems or firmware.
  • Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
  • An active portfolio of side projects, open-source contributions, or personal hardware builds.
  • Startup or founder experience is useful, as is familiarity with EDA tools, manufacturing pipelines, hardware supply chains, or AI integration in design tooling.

Benefits

  • Base salary is $120,000 to $200,000 per year.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
