Founding Full Stack Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Build and launch a consumer membership web application on Shopify and Recharge and own its ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitor and optimize storefront page speed, application performance, bundle size, and third-party scripts and pixels.
  • Configure tracking and consent tools to support privacy compliance, including CPRA and GDPR data handling.
  • Own engineering architecture, technology choices, security decisions, databases, and vendor or contractor selection.
  • Lead development of an iOS-first React Native consumer application from the ground up.
  • Build production LLM-powered agents and internal automation tools with evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop safeguards.
  • Use AI, automation, and low-code tools to reduce manual operational work across the company.
  • Work directly with the CEO on high-priority product and infrastructure problems.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of full-stack engineering experience shipping consumer products to production.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, with shipped production applications.
  • Proficiency in Python or Node.js and a record of writing fast, reliable code.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify and Recharge integration.
  • Experience building and shipping consumer-facing React Native applications, ideally with an iOS-first focus.
  • Expertise in web performance optimization, including page speed, bundle size, and third-party script management.
  • Experience implementing privacy compliance tooling, consent management, and CPRA or GDPR data handling.
  • Ability to make architectural and security decisions independently with minimal guidance.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered development tools, LLM agent frameworks, and automation workflows is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 or more years of overall software engineering experience is preferred.
  • Degree in engineering, computer science, or mathematics, or equivalent demonstrated experience shipping software products.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $130,000 to $200,000 USD.
  • On-site work in San Francisco, United States.
