Founding Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Build data models and workflows supporting a property management operating system.
  • Develop AI systems that use property context to complete tasks, identify missing information, and escalate work to people.
  • Make practical engineering decisions for payments, financial records, and resident and owner communications.
  • Ship software to users, learn from system gaps and feedback, and improve the product.
  • Take projects from problem definition through launch and iteration.

Requirements

  • Experience building and shipping production software end to end in backend or full-stack engineering.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, Python, and PostgreSQL, or the ability to learn these tools quickly.
  • Experience taking projects from problem definition through launch and iteration, ideally in an early-stage startup or founding engineering role.
  • Real estate or property management experience is relevant but not required.
  • Experience range of 0 to 10+ years.
  • Comfort with ownership, adaptability, and ambiguity.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $150,000 to $300,000 annually.
  • On-site in San Francisco; candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
