FPGA/SoC Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver security solutions for next-generation FPGA, SoC, and embedded x86 products.
  • Define and drive security requirements, architectures, and implementations involving secure boot, cryptographic services, root-of-trust technologies, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with engineering, program management, and validation teams to integrate security into architecture, design, testing, and product release processes.
  • Support Secure Development Lifecycle activities including threat modeling, code reviews, penetration testing, red teaming, and security feature validation.
  • Investigate and resolve complex security challenges, including critical customer escalations.
  • Contribute to scalable security architectures addressing emerging threats and future product capabilities.

Requirements

  • Senior-level software engineering experience with cybersecurity principles and security solution development.
  • Expertise in AMD SoC, FPGA, embedded x86, and ARM-based platform security, including threat modeling, cryptography, secure boot, TEE, TrustZone, and access control.
  • Experience applying security principles to hardware and software products and supporting Common Criteria, FIPS, ISO21434, or IEC62443 certification efforts.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA/SoC development, validation, simulation, verification using UVM, hardware debugging, and lab testing.
  • Proficiency in Python, C, Verilog, VHDL, or similar programming languages.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, including RTOS, embedded Linux, and hypervisors.
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Datacenter, or Test & Measurement environments is preferred.
  • Expertise in Physical Unclonable Functions and hardware root-of-trust technologies is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
