Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Keet Desktop, a cross-platform peer-to-peer communications application.
Implement UI/UX features using React and the Pear runtime.
Optimize frontend performance, including rendering and memory management.
Write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Test and debug complex frontend applications.
Contribute to P2P and distributed-systems functionality in a remote, globally distributed team.

Requirements

Proven production-scale experience with React or Preact.
Strong competency with modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
Experience with state management such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar tools.
Ability to write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Strong frontend testing and debugging skills.
Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
Good communication skills and comfort working remotely with a globally distributed team.
Preferred: experience with Electron, Tauri, or similar desktop application runtimes.
Preferred: familiarity with WebRTC, media streams, video/audio APIs, and real-time communication.
Preferred: experience building cross-platform applications for macOS, Windows, Linux, or similar platforms.
Bonus: contributions to open-source projects, especially in P2P or decentralized technology.
