Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, high-performance frontend architectures and portals using React and TypeScript.
Investigate systemic platform issues, audit unfamiliar codebases, identify root causes, and produce written architectural recommendations.
Build and maintain Node.js and Go backend services, including backend-for-frontend layers, APIs, and tooling services.
Improve developer experience through automation, documentation, tooling, standards, code reviews, design discussions, and pairing.
Lead initiatives addressing development friction, application performance, bundle size, runtime efficiency, reliability, adoption, and developer productivity.
Partner with feature teams on frontend architecture, platform standards, testing strategies, API evolution, backward compatibility, and technical strategy.
Contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, iterative delivery, and cross-team architecture discussions.

Requirements

At least 3 years of software development experience.
Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web architectures.
Deep expertise in TypeScript and React, including hooks, state management, and performance.
Experience with large-scale monorepos, server-state management, client-side routing, Node.js, backend services, and Go.
Experience with unit, component, and end-to-end testing infrastructure, including Vitest, Playwright, or equivalents.
Ability to independently investigate complex codebases and produce clear written architectural assessments.
Ability to balance ideal architecture with practical constraints, adapt to changing priorities, and context-switch across initiatives.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Storybook, Nx, Turborepo, Lerna, GitHub Actions, TanStack Query, TanStack Router, frontend build tools, bundlers, API integration patterns, Next.js or similar SSR/SSG frameworks, micro-frontends, Azure, AWS, GCP, and observability tools such as Sentry.
Preferred knowledge includes web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, developer tools, CLI tools, plugins, linters, codemods, and REST or GraphQL integration patterns.
