Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain high-traffic features and partner integrations across backend services, APIs, frontend applications, infrastructure, and databases.
Write production-ready code and own unit, integration, and end-to-end test automation standards.
Own operational quality, observability, reliability, SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and incident response readiness for services.
Apply secure engineering practices and compliance-aware data architecture to sensitive consumer, financial, and marketplace data.
Use and promote AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows.
Drive project scope, timelines, cross-functional dependencies, and delivery while communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and scaling distributed systems and high-traffic consumer-facing products.
Proven full-stack depth across backend services, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, modern frontend frameworks such as React, and cloud or DevOps environments.
Strong experience with Node.js and microservice architectures.
Experience with search, marketplace, listing-based, or financial services products and partner API integrations.
Experience owning production infrastructure, observability, SLOs, and incident management.
Strong project management and independent execution skills in an agile, matrixed environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted development tools into daily workflows.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, federated GraphQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and containerization.
Understanding of financial data sensitivity and compliance considerations, including RESPA and TILA awareness.
Comfort working in a data- and metrics-driven engineering culture aligned with performance KPIs.
