Architect and build ground and site network infrastructure across commercial, secured, and classified environments.
Design, deploy, and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters across multiple security and classification levels.
Define and enforce infrastructure security, hardening, compliance, and control standards.
Build repeatable infrastructure as code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and similar tools.
Establish monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerting across the ground network.
Design and operate CI/CD pipelines and automation for reliable deployments.
Drive uptime, incident response, and reliability standards as the primary site reliability owner for ground systems.
Partner with security, mission operations, and program teams to translate requirements into compliant and operable infrastructure.
Set architectural standards and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
U.S. Person status, such as U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status.
At least 5 years of experience in site reliability, infrastructure, or network engineering, including meaningful experience in aerospace, defense, satellite, or another mission-critical domain.
Hands-on experience architecting and operating ground network or large-scale production network infrastructure.
Deep production experience building and scaling highly available Kubernetes clusters and containers.
Strong networking fundamentals in routing, switching, segmentation, and secure network design.
Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform and Terragrunt, as well as CI/CD, automation, and observability tooling.
Working knowledge of security and compliance for regulated or classified environments.
Proficiency scripting and building tooling in Python, Go, or a comparable language.
Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred.
Experience supporting classified or government space programs or infrastructure across multiple classification levels is preferred.
Familiarity with GitOps workflows, ArgoCD, and modern observability stacks such as Mimir is preferred.
