GTM Business Systems Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce Platform.
  • Build and operate integrations among Salesforce CPQ, Ironclad, Billing/Core, and adjacent business systems.
  • Own data contracts, idempotency, retries, error handling, duplicate-event handling, partial-failure handling, reconciliation, and safe lifecycle changes for quotes, contracts, and subscriptions.
  • Develop and maintain solutions on iPaaS platforms including Homegrown, Workato, and Clay.
  • Drive scalable architecture patterns, tool choices, and technical designs.
  • Write technical specifications with architecture diagrams, data model diagrams, process flows, and sequence diagrams.
  • Own data integrity and data assumptions within the assigned area.
  • Participate in code reviews, on-call support, build issue resolution, and technical ideation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working with the Salesforce platform.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems architecture and integrations.
  • Strong experience with Apex, triggers, Salesforce APIs, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and asynchronous processing.
  • Working knowledge of Python and other programming languages.
  • Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous methods, Streaming API, publish/subscribe patterns, and architectural patterns.
  • Familiarity with GTM systems beyond Salesforce, including Gong, LeanData, CPQ, and billing systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of data pipelines, CI/CD processes, Salesforce governance limits, code coverage, and unit-testing practices.
  • Experience building and maintaining Salesforce applications and designing reliable integrations.
  • Experience with CPQ, pricing, contract lifecycle management, billing, subscriptions, or another Quote-to-Cash domain.
  • Ability to translate complex commercial requirements into durable system behavior with non-engineering teams.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and evaluating their output.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience with Snowflake, dbt, or Kafka.

Salary: $122k - $183k/yr
