Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain quality firmware for enterprise hard disk drives.
  • Implement data structures, software algorithms, data paths, and drivers for hardware cores using C++ and Python.
  • Participate in technical investigations from problem statement through conclusions.
  • Create design documents for firmware development phases.
  • Develop strategies for functionality and compatibility testing of complex drive features.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer/electronics engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of C, object-oriented programming such as C++ and Python, data structures, algorithms, and multithreaded programming.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
  • Ability to learn new firmware, hardware, systems, and tools quickly.
  • Preferred knowledge of ARM or ARC microcontroller architecture, embedded firmware development, and RTOS.
  • Preferred knowledge of data analytics, data visualization, and machine learning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
