iOS Engineer - Sponsorships in USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop new and existing sponsorship experiences in the core iOS app for creators and audiences.
  • Contribute to product direction and brainstorming for sponsorship experiences.
  • Iterate on mobile and web product flows and run A/B tests.
  • Own work from product concept and research through implementation, experimentation, and measurement.
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, support staff, customers, and sponsorship partners.
  • Lead iOS code review, mentorship, and thoughtful technical architecture for the Sponsorships team.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience shipping high-quality native iOS applications to the App Store.
  • SwiftUI and UIKit experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously while taking ownership of work.
  • Strong standards for production systems and product quality.
  • Interest in building elegant product experiences and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Experience at a fast-growing startup or on a high-performing growth team is a plus, but not required.
  • Alignment with Substack’s mission to support independent writers and creators.

Benefits

  • Market-competitive cash compensation of $140,000-$260,000, equity for all full-time roles, and exceptional benefits.
