iOS Lead Engineer in Others

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to iOS engineer and technical decision-maker for the Design Systems domain.
  • Own architecture and design decisions for Vinted’s shared iOS component library and design-system tooling.
  • Improve component composability, flexibility, module boundaries, dependency direction, and API design.
  • Make the design system AI-ready through structured components, documentation, and patterns.
  • Improve design-asset maintenance and release processes from handoff through shipping.
  • Improve CI/CD, testing strategy, build times, flaky-test reduction, and engineering feedback loops.
  • Apply modern Swift concurrency to maintain a safe and scalable codebase.
  • Represent iOS in the Frontend Platform Council and help establish shared platform standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, design, Android, Web, and Security teams.
  • Mentor engineers and raise technical standards through reviews, RFCs, ADRs, guidance, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, and modernizing large-scale applications.
  • Strong understanding of Swift concurrency, including async/await, structured concurrency, task cancellation, actors, and data-race prevention.
  • Experience with large-scale modular iOS applications and module ownership, dependency direction, and API design.
  • Experience building or scaling a design system or component library used by multiple teams.
  • Ability to lead architecture and technical decisions while balancing delivery speed, maintainability, and platform health.
  • Experience improving engineering quality and developer productivity, including CI/CD, testing strategy, build times, flaky-test reduction, and feedback loops.
  • Ability to collaborate with Staff Engineers, engineering managers, product managers, designers, Android/Web engineers, and Security teams.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar through code reviews, RFCs/ADRs, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Clear spoken and written English communication.
