Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions for German and South African clients.
  • Build backend services, REST APIs, and integration layers using object-oriented design principles and established design patterns.
  • Write readable, efficient, testable code and deliver thoroughly tested and debugged software.
  • Contribute to code reviews, performance tuning, and CI/CD practices.
  • Work across software engineering disciplines and help improve team engineering standards.
  • Apply AI agent-based development methods and tools throughout the software development process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams directly with customers.

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in computer science or a comparable discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, Spring, Kotlin, Maven, Gradle, and JUnit.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, established design patterns, backend development, APIs, and integration layers.
  • Experience working with agile methods such as Scrum or Design Thinking.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive, pragmatic, team-oriented approach.
