Junior Front-End Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement UI/UX components for Striveworks’ core products.
  • Build and style web applications using React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, CSS, and component frameworks.
  • Integrate REST APIs and back-end services into front-end applications.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, data scientists, and software engineers to solve complex product problems.
  • Use Git and modern software development workflows to develop and deliver software.
  • Contribute to personal, academic, open-source, cloud, containerized, or automated-testing projects when applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another engineering or science discipline, or completion of a software development boot camp.
  • 0–2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript, including language fundamentals, asynchronous programming, and modern front-end development practices.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX, design patterns, and application design and styling with CSS.
  • Experience building web applications with React through professional, academic, or personal projects.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and integrating back-end services into front-end applications.
  • Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
  • Familiarity with component frameworks such as Material UI or similar frameworks.
  • Candidates must be a US person, defined as a US citizen, US national, or Green Card holder.
  • Preferred qualifications include GraphQL, Next.js, Node.js, React Query/TanStack, Axios, Context API, styled-components, cloud environments, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD processes, Python, Golang, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Figma.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Secret-or-higher US security clearance, or an active Secret-or-higher clearance, is preferred.
