Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain application security tooling, including static analysis, dynamic analysis, code scanning, and agentic AI solutions.
  • Design, build, integrate, and scale agentic AI capabilities for secure product development.
  • Enhance and maintain security tools supporting 1Password’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting metrics for security risk programs and varied technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with Security, Product Engineering, Marketing, CX, and other cross-functional partners on security requirements for new features.

Requirements

  • Have 0–2+ years of software development experience.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and foundational knowledge in security engineering, secure coding, penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, security design, and architecture.
  • Demonstrate experience using agentic AI to accelerate security workflows, automate repetitive tasks, or improve detection and remediation.
  • Have experience developing internal tools and supporting engineering enablement.
  • Be comfortable reading and writing code and applying software development principles.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bonus: experience with Rust or Golang, security code reviews, architecture guidance, threat modelling, or web application security topics including OWASP Top 10.

Salary: $100k - $140k/yr
